Helpful Laundry tips for make your Clothes Clean & Smell good!!

Sometimes, do clothes smell dusty or dirty, even immediately after you wash them? If you're dealing with bad-smelling clothes right now and need a quick fix, don’t worry! There are ways you can freshen them up, even if you only have a few minutes to save. There is nothing nicer than the smell of freshly laundered clothing. Here, is a guide about tips for good smelling clean clothes.

1. Don’t delay drying:

Don’t leave clean laundry in the machine after the load has finished washing — especially not overnight. With a warm, dark environment like a closed washing machine, bacteria and mold both thrive. Delay drying makes clothes bad odour.

2. Deep clean your washing machine with vinegar every six months:

Over time, washing machines can develop unpleasant odours. Start with an empty washing machine. Add two to four cups of white vinegar to the detergent dispenser. Run a complete cycle on the highest and hottest setting. Add one cup of baking soda and run another cycle. Wipe down the inside and top of the washer with a microfiber cloth. Leave the lid or door open when you’re not using it. Closing it traps in moisture and odour-causing bacteria to grow.

3.  Deodorize your closet:

If your closet or dresser has its own separate smell that you like to keep out of your clothes, open a box of baking soda and keep that inside to absorb the closet or dresser’s odour.

4. Don't use chlorine bleach:

The purpose is to ‘bleach’ your clothing and not damage the texture of the threads. Vinegar (which you can easily find in your kitchen) is a natural brightener that won't wear out the fibres of your clothing the way chlorine bleach will.  Plus, it's better for the environment—we love that.

5. Don’t put detergent directly in the Washing Machine:

This is one of the most common mistakes committed when washing clothes. There are people who might argue that all get mixed at the end, but it’s not so! Believe it or not, there’s a right & wrong way to load the washing machine. Place your laundry first then add water and lastly add detergent or detergent liquid. However, if you’re using bleach, add water first, then add bleach.

6. Put aspirin pills in the washing machine:

Aspiring relieves a headache - we all know that. This headache relief is not just confined to your physical pain, but also the pain of yellow stains in clothes. Aspirin can help remove yellow stains in white clothes which some people are hesitant to wear just because they are more susceptible to attract stains. The new way to avoid white clothes stains is putting aspirin pills in the washing machine can help maintain whitening your clothes because of salicylic acid!!

7.  Use baby shampoo to avoid shrank:

Just add the little bit of baby shampoo or conditioner in the warm water. Then, dry it with a towel and lay it out horizontally to let it dry completely. The conditioner will flatten the fibre and return it to its original size.

8. Use Shaving cream to remove the makeup stains:

Sometimes it is very difficult to remove the lipstick and foundation stains. However, you put some shaving in the stains and rub it with hand then wash it with detergent.

9. Use cold water to wash socks:

Socks are, most of the times, the biggest contributors to cloth-related odour. It is so stereotyped that the first thing that people think when they hear about the bad-smelling piece of clothing is socks! However, a few small and easy-to-do tricks can make your socks smell better. The first of them is not to use ot water to wash dirty socks, because sweat contains protein. It will stay longer if you wash it with hot water. That’s why no matter what many people use cold water for washing.

10. Place Coffee ground in the closet:

Coffee not only makes you feel fresh every morning, but even your clothes feel fresh. The smell of coffee revitalizes your clothes as much as it does to you every day! Wanna know how? Well..coffee absorbs bad and unpleasant odours. All you need to do is to take a pot of coarsely ground coffee beans and make a few small holes in the top of the container.
